Stables associated with my account that are NOT mine

    I have had this problem for awhile and have tried to fix it by changing the email address for my genuine three accounts (ashleyrey, ashley-lexvegas, and Devotion Stud) multiple times. No matter what I change the email to for these three, these stables show up as associated to my accounts and I do not have any association, affiliation, or anything to do with these accounts as listed below. If anyone has any tips or if @Ammit could help, I'd greatly appreciate it because I don't want my accounts to be locked or to be booted off the game for something I cannot control.

    Your accounts won't be affected at all by associated accounts. The admins are aware of the fact that this happens, and know that it has nothing to do with you.

    It has to do with your IP address. My niece and I had never been associated until we went to my moms at Thanksgiving and both used her wifi (even on our own laptops). After that we showed up as associated, even after we were home (in different states) and using our own wifi.

    If you used the wifi at a Starbucks, and another member had used the same wifi at the same store a week ago, when they were just passing through town on the way to a horse show, you're accounts will show up as associated.


    It is no big deal, really.

    Quite often ISP's have a block of IP addresses assigned to them that are rotated among all the subscribers to that service provider, as people log on to the Internet and then log off. Unless your pay your ISP for a static IP address, this will happen to you, and you will end up sharing an IP address with complete strangers.

    As Confluence Farms said, it's no big deal. It may be a complete mystery, but it can happen to almost all of us, from time to time.

    As an illustration--my daughter and I, since we live in the same household, share her email address, since all members of a household playing the game must, by the rules, use the same one, both in this game and in HaJ 1. Her email address is the one of record because she was the first one to play both version of the game. I watched over her shoulder as she played HaJ 1 for 8 months before I got up the courage to join myself. *G*

    On this game, ours are the only two associated accounts. On HaJ 1, on the other hand, there is another account associated with ours. I have no idea who this person might be or even if it might be someone one of us is acquainted with that we don't know is a player. As I said above, it can be a mystery.

    It would be the public use of Wifi that would probably explain mine then. I regularly check HJ2 on my phone, using Wifi when it's available, and have done so when I've been out of town for horse shows and other trips. I didn't think of it like that. Thank you for the help!
