Hi everyone!
-
Welcome to the wonderful world of Hunt and Jump. It's a complex game, but lots of fun and great for learning to understand horse color genetics. We're a friendly group, so if you have any questions (the more specific the easier to answer), don't hesitate to ask. It's okay to ask more than one question in a single post, too.
One of the most important things about the game is that is isn't a competition. Every player sets personal goals and works to achieve them, so while there are some game conventions, you don't need to feel that you have to work to anyone else's standards. If you're interested in how others play the game, we'll be glad to tell you, but you don't necessarily have to do the same.
The best money making activity is showing horses, not breeding to sell foals. Everyone is breeding their own horses, so unless you have a rare or currently popular color, you probably won't be able to run your stable on the profits from selling horses.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
